Syria COC

According to the Syrian Cabinet Documents No. 954/1 and No. 4113/1 issued on February 4, 2009 and May 21, 2009, the Syrian Arab Organization for Standardization and Metrology (SASMO) will implement a product conformity assessment, pricing, and origin verification scheme starting from September 1, 2010. According to the requirements of this plan, SASMO requires all products subject to the Syrian Product Conformity Assessment Scheme to undergo inspection in the exporting country to verify whether the products comply with Syrian Standards (SS) or other recognized international standards.

The controlled products exported to Syria include:

·Toys and parenting products;

·Electrical and electronic products;

·Vehicles and automotive components;

·Building materials;

·Food and related products;

·Textiles;

·Paper products;

·Medical supplies;

·Mineral and chemical products;

·Construction tools and equipment;

·Chemical and household products.

The certification process for CoC in the Syrian Republic is as follows:

1) Please fill out the application form attached below;

2) Provide formal invoices, packing lists, and product testing reports;

3) The customer completes payment and arranges on-site inspection;

4) The customer provides the final documents (final packing list and invoice);

5) The certificate is issued by an official certification body.
