On November 7, 2007, the Mongolian Bureau of Standards and Metrology (MASM) issued Decree No. 348, implementing product conformity assessment and certification for imported goods listed in the catalog.

The regulation requires that all goods within the scope of certification shipped to Mongolia from December 1, 2007 must obtain a mandatory conformity certificate jointly issued by SGS and MASM for customs clearance in Mongolia. Except for goods with a value below USD 500, they still need to meet the corresponding standards and qualification requirements of MASM. MASM will conduct destination verification after the goods arrive in Mongolia.
