ATEX certification (Directive 94/9/EC)

Manufacturers who wish to enter Europe and sell products for explosive environments must demonstrate that their products comply with the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.

If the products you produce are intended for use in potentially explosive environments, you must ensure that these products do not cause explosions during daily operation. Proving that the product complies with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC provides such assurance. Products intended for use in potentially explosive environments must be affixed with a unique community emblem (hexagonal explosion-proof emblem) and CE mark before being sold in the European Union.
